Freelancing with Drupal.... What it takes to be a successful developer

We all know that there are a million websites being built, but how do you get a piece of the action? How do you even get started as a professional web developer when everyone wants to see your (rather lean) portfolio? What can you do make your work stand out from the bargain-basement competition?

Taken from the experiences of someone who began freelancing as a Drupal web developer part-time, to full-time, to now being employed at a company as a Drupal developer, I'll share the things that I did right, the things that I did wrong, and the things that kept me employed with repeat business. And, yes, it was all 100% ethical!
